NINE DRAGONS LAKE,
JIANGNING DEVELOPMENT ZONE, NANJING, PRC CLIENT: Power Land Group Terrene Craft International was engaged by the Client to develop a cohesive Landscape Master Plan to the foreshore of a man made lake. The lake and surrounding parkland precincts are the major recreational focus for the Jiangning Development Zone, Nanjing. With the large area of the Nine Dragons Lake, and the lake being divided into two sections by a major arterial road, the Landscape Master Plan recognised the potential to develop a variety of recreational opportunities along the lake edge. Some of the activities are intended to be informal in nature, such as quiet seating areas associated with the lake edge promontories and islands, while other activities may be more formal in nature such as lake side stages for planned community events and the proposed Cultural Centre, while other activities may be commercial in nature such as lake side teahouses, restaurants, hire boat facilities and similar facilities. |
