CARNARVON TOWN CENTRE UPGRADE,
CARNARVON, WA CLIENT: Shire of Carnarvon While under contract with Cardno(WA), Jeffrey led the design team for the upgrading of the Carnarvon Town Centre. The streetscape redevelopment included the revision of traffic flow, revising the town centre overland flow and drainage system, improved circulation system, new hard and soft landscape works including the retention of significant street centre and verge trees. The implemented design for the main street redevelopment was able to meet the Councils requirements for increasing the available number of town centre vehicle parking spaces, improving the cross town circulation ability for the elderly and mobility impaired, redesign of the town centre overland flow pathway to eliminate recurrent town centre flooding, and implement a street tree planting design that provided amenity and improved streetscape aesthetics. Existing street trees deemed unsuitable were transplanted to other locations throughout the town Jeff's role as the Project Manager included:
