WENG RESIDENCE,
SHENZHEN, PRC Terrene Craft International was engaged to prepare the landscape design for a new townhouse, The design included the entry landscape, internal court, upper level balcony and rear yard landscape. The developed landscape provided not only a "garden" setting for the townhouse, but is also an integral part of the owners lifestyle when home. From the colourful and inviting entry walk, to the rear garden which was designed for two energetic children to play in, with two balcony gardens to compliment the interior of the house in terms of design theme and materials selection, the landscape design intent creates a pleasant and relaxed lifestyle for the owners. Due to the restricted spaces available, a linear and geometric landscape design was established for the front entry landscape and upper balcony landscapes, while the rear yard was a combination of linear design leading to the lakeside jetty and free flowing line design in the open "recreational" space. The sub-tropical location of Shenzhen allowed for the use of colourful tropical shrubs and groundcovers set within a layered, formal planting design framework. TCI also undertook hard and soft landscape materials selection with the client plus construction supervision. |
